Our Mission
Lutz Learning Center firmly believes children are intellectually capable of far more than society recognizes. Children are a product of their environment. Our mission is to provide the fundamental knowledge, understandings, and inspiration children need to reach the goal of being successful academically and socially.
To fulfill our mission, our philosophy is simple:
• Treat every child in the manner which you would treat your own: Every teacher is empowered to make judgment calls based on how they would want their own child treated.
• Teach concepts though hands on experiences: Aristotle once said, "For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them”. The child must be actively involved in the experience, and then reflect on their experiences using analytic skills, in order to gain a better understanding of the new knowledge and retain the information.
• Always reach higher: Information and knowledge are endless in potential. Simply put, one can never know everything. In our programs, there is no “ceiling” on any individual’s learning opportunities.
• Collaborate and communicate with parents: It takes a village to raise a child. At our school parents, teachers, and administrators all work together for the good of the students. We believe when we all come together as a team, with our goals aligned, a child can reach maximum potential.
