About Us
Lutz Learning Center is an independent private school educating students from age 2 through 6th grade. Our school operates using a limitless potential philosophy and a differentiated instruction curriculum model. Our unique, accelerated education style unlocks a child’s potential, placing no "ceiling" on opportunities for growth. Using a project-based, hands on approach, we believe students should be guided to discover knowledge and engage in learning.
Our proprietary education model is designed to present information at a fast pace using an experiential method with goals of maximizing each child’s education at a minimum of two years ahead of academic expectations for their age. Our school accomplishes this objective with a passionate and dedicated team of warm and caring teaching professionals tailoring project based instruction to captivate and inspire innovation and logic in an open classroom, small group environment designed to engage each student using a thematic approach based on scientific concepts.
We believe in a strong focus on phonics and word recognition. Reading is the key to life-long learning and we strive to help children read as early as they are developmentally ready. With this in mind, we use elements of science and logic as the basis for our curriculum to captivate students and immerse them in the process.
The statement, “All Parents think their Child is Gifted”, is a myth. Parents are usually the first ones to notice. Our school and its programs cater to the gifted mind. Introducing academic concepts early, we are fully aware that children may not reach their potential if they are not provided with an appropriate educational environment. Early advancement is the key to nurturing the highly bright, highly cognitive child. For this reason, we place children, not by chronological age, but developmentally. Because our curriculum is geared at a higher level, we commonly find students participating in our program to be functioning at a significantly above standard. We do not hold a child back from entering our Pre-Kindergarten or Elementary classes based on their birth date.
